And here’s why:

Coconut Creek, Florida is an interesting city with somewhat of a past as a retirement community, but launching into the future with festivals and fun attractions. The city hosts festivals like the Coconut Creek Seafood Festival and the Coconut Creek SpringFest. Let us show you what you can do to keep you busy in this town!

Butterfly World

This place is pretty incredible and is hands-down the BEST butterfly attraction in the entire state! Butterfly World is a butterfly conservatory and zoo located in Coconut Creek, Florida. It is the largest butterfly conservatory in the United States, boasting over 20,000 butterflies in more than 50 species. The Butterfly World also offers a wide variety of attractions including an aviary, lorikeet aviary, bird show amphitheater and playground. It is easily the best butterfly attraction we have been to! We were impressed.

The entrance fee to Butterfly World is $19 per person (ages 2 and older). This includes access to the spectacular butterfly exhibit where you can see them up close and personal! It also includes access to the aviary, a section to view various insects, and even a snack shop.

Tradewinds Park & Stables

Tradewinds Park & Stables is a large, gorgeous park located in Coconut Creek and it is a great place to spend an afternoon or two. Years ago, the land on which the park sits was actually the giant horse farm of the McLean family. Therefore, horses are still a staple within the park, but there are so many more things that you can see and do at the park including: trails, fishing, playgrounds, disc golf, and, of course, horseback riding! Be sure to check the website for dates and times for the various activities as horseback riding and train rides are only available on certain days: https://www.broward.org/Parks/Pages/park.aspx?park=39

AND at Christmas time, the entire park in transformed into a drive-through winter wonderland!
