Go to Jensen Beach Park
You can’t go wrong with a relaxing day at the beach. Jensen Beach park happens to be one of our favorite places to enjoy the beach on the entire Treasure Coast.
If you’re looking for something different than just sand and sun, try visiting the volleyball court at Jensen Beach Park. This is a great place for families and friends to gather together for games or just fooling around on the beachside courts. The best part is that it’s free!
If you’re feeling hungry after your game of volleyball and need some nourishment before heading home, stop by The Beachside Cafe right next door to Jensen Beach Park. Their menu features an assortment of delicious dishes including burgers, salads, sandwiches and more!
Fair warning, this spot can get a little crowded. If crowds aren’t your thing, just check the parking lot first, if it seems full, then consider a short drive north or south for a few minutes and you’ll find similar pristine beaches without all the crowds.
Shop at Downtown Jensen Beach
Downtown Jensen Beach is one of the best places to shop in the area, from clothing stores and boutiques to galleries and art shops. You’ll also find restaurants galore, including ones that are family-friendly and some that are more upscale for date night. The town’s shops and restaurants stay open until around 8 pm during the weekdays, and later on Fridays and Saturdays. This means you can visit when it’s convenient for your schedule.
In addition to shopping, Downtown Jensen Beach also hosts many events throughout the year such as a jazz festival each February or an arts festival in November (you can see these events listed on their website). In fact, this makes it even better than other downtown areas because there are so many things going on here—and they’re all right where you want them!
As you explore downtown Jensen Beach, be on the look out for depictions of pineapples throughout. That’s because Jensen Beach traces its history back to John Lawrence Jensen, a Denmark native who arrived in the late 1800’s and built a pineapple plantation. with the advent of the railroad in Jensen Beach, pretty soon pineapples were being shipped from here throughout the country and around the world. Jensen Beach soon became known at the pineapple capitol of the world!
Go to the Treasure Coast Children’s Museum
A great place for kids to learn and have fun is the Treasure Coast Children’s Museum. It is located in Jensen Beach, Florida at 1001 South Federal Highway. The museum is open 9am-5pm every day except Thanksgiving and Christmas Day.
The museum has an area where children can play grocery store, a train exhibit, a giant Spanish galleon ship that talks with you when you walk inside of it, a gift shop full of fun things for kids (and adults), a playground with equipment shaped like giant vegetables, and a butterfly garden. This is a great place for children to exhaust their energy especially on those incredibly hot days or those rainy days.

Spend time at Indian Riverside Park
Located on the outskirts of Jensen Beach, Indian Riverside Park is a great place to spend time with family and friends. The park has a playground, picnic tables and a boardwalk that leads out into the Indian River Lagoon. This popular spot also offers plenty of shade so that you can relax while enjoying the view or great places to run, exercise, play sports, or take a nice leisurely stroll.
Shop at Treasure Coast Square Mall
Treasure Coast Square Mall is a shopping center located in Jensen Beach, Florida. This mall features over 100 stores and restaurants and is open to the public for shopping daily. There are plenty of parking spaces available at this mall, so you’re sure to find a spot that works for your needs!
When we go, we mostly just visit the food court for the awesome Chick-fil-A, and the children’s play place–great for those sweltering summer days, or those rainy days.
Also within short drive from the mall, you’ll find retailers like Hobby Lobby, Best Buy, Barnes and Noble, and more!
