Introduction
Florida is a beautiful state, with a lot to offer honeymooners. Here are some of the best destinations for your honeymoon:
Saint Augustine
Saint Augustine is a historic city with all the charm and vibrancy of a small town. It’s easy to access and has plenty of accommodations—from budget motels to fine hotels. The beaches are beautiful, the wildlife is magnificent (go see manatees!), and there’s plenty of history to explore in this historic city.
The best time to visit Saint Augustine is during its annual Pirate Fest in early October. This festival includes live music performances as well as pirate reenactments every day for about a week before Halloween! If that doesn’t get you excited about your honeymoon vacation then nothing will!
If you’re looking for a more relaxing vacation, then Saint Augustine is the place for you. There’s plenty to do and see in this historic city, but it’s also great for just hanging out with your honey on one of the many beaches nearby or exploring some of Florida’s best shopping malls!
Sanibel Island
Sanibel Island is a barrier island off the west coast of Florida, located between Fort Myers and Cape Coral. It’s known for its beaches and wildlife, with more than 10 miles of white-sand beaches and saltwater marshes that are home to tropical birds, alligators, and other animals.
Sanibel Island offers plenty of activities for couples looking for a romantic getaway. You can hike or bike along one of the many nature trails; catch a ferry to nearby Captiva Island; rent kayaks or paddleboards from Paddleboard Sanibel; or head out on a fishing charter from the Sand Bar & Grill on North Beach Drive (reservations recommended).
If you plan to visit Sanibel Island in late October or November, be sure to see its spectacular fall colors—the peak usually falls between mid-October through mid-November each year.
Miami
Miami is a great choice for honeymooners. It’s known for its warm weather and sandy beaches, but it also boasts some of the best restaurants in the country. There are plenty of options for shopping, including luxury brands like Hermes, Chanel, and Louis Vuitton. And when you need to rest your feet after all that walking around town? No problem—take a break on one of Miami Beach’s many public beaches!
Miami offers some fantastic art museums and cultural events that are sure to inspire any couple who has been traveling together long enough to start feeling like they need something new in their lives. Stroll through Wynwood Walls or take part in an event at Pérez Art Museum Miami (PAMM). As far as nighttime entertainment goes: if you want something totally different from bars and clubs, check out Treehouse Playground—a unique bar/cafe/art gallery owned by rapper Pitbull himself!
Fort Lauderdale
Fort Lauderdale is one of the best honeymoon cities in Florida because of its great beaches, warm weather, and nightlife. Located on a beautiful beach, Fort Lauderdale is an ideal place to relax on vacation and enjoy the sun with your new spouse. You can also visit some attractions such as The Art Deco District or go shopping at Sawgrass Mills Mall.
Fort Lauderdale is a popular tourist destination for many reasons: it has beautiful beaches with warm temperatures year-round; there is plenty to do during the day and evening hours; you’ll find restaurants offering delicious food from all over the world; you can enjoy recreational activities like boating or fishing offshore; etc.
Orlando
Orlando is a great place for couples to enjoy an exciting and romantic honeymoon adventure. With its unique blend of entertainment and vacation attractions, you can easily spend multiple days exploring the city without leaving your hotel room. Orlando has something for everyone: from museums and art galleries to beaches and amusement parks.
Orlando has many restaurants and hotels to choose from! If you want an elegant dinner on your wedding night, then there are plenty of options available in downtown Orlando that will satisfy even your pickiest guests. If you’re looking for something more casual or unique than the typical steakhouse experience (who isn’t?) then try out some local favorites like The Boheme Cafe & Lounge or Side Door Kitchen Bar & Grill instead! It’s guaranteed they’ll have exactly what you need!
Delray Beach
For a traditional beach destination, Delray Beach offers everything you could want and more. The quaint downtown area has some great shopping and restaurants, but what really makes this place stand out is its nightlife. There are plenty of bars and clubs to choose from if you’re looking for something lively. If you’re wanting something a bit quieter, hit up the local boardwalk and take in all the sites as you stroll along the beachfront.
There are also tons of family-friendly activities available here! The natural beauty makes this city perfect for couples who want to take their time exploring nature together while still enjoying some quality time alone together as well. Between biking trails and kayaking opportunities that get guests into the water below them, there’s no better way to experience Florida than by doing so with your sweetheart during your stay at Delray Beach!
The Villages
The Villages is a popular destination for honeymooners who want to take advantage of the warm weather and golf courses. The city’s population doubles during the winter months, so you’ll be sure to bump into other couples on your romantic getaway.
The best time of year to visit is late fall through early spring when temperatures are mild with occasional rain showers. Spring months can offer stunning views due to blooming flowers and trees, but summertime brings intense heat that may not be ideal if you’re looking for a relaxing vacation.
The most popular activities include shopping at Lake Sumter Landing, taking a horse-drawn carriage ride through downtown, or strolling down one of the many pathways lined with beautiful gardens and fountains at The Villagers Golf Club & Spa Resort while listening to live music performed by local artists on Thursday nights throughout April until June at “Music Under the Stars.” If you’d prefer something more active than simply walking around town then consider hiking at nearby Lake Lindsey Park where there are plenty of trails including an easy loop (about 1 mile) called “Blue Heron Trail” which offers scenic views across both lakes as well as wildlife such as deer browsing amongst plants or birds perched nearby waiting patiently for their next meal!
In addition: Between October 22nd – November 1st every year there’s an annual event called “VillageFest” where locals gather together over food trucks offering delicious treats such as tacos from La Cucaracha Mexican Grill Truck; barbecue chicken sandwiches from Zesto Ice Cream Bars & Burgers Truck; hotdogs topped off with chili sauce served up by Dog Haus Biergarten Hot Dogs Truck; ice cream sundaes piled high with caramel syrup drizzled over whipped cream topped off with M&M Peanuts Candy Pieces added inside–all available inside this tasty treat!
Naples
Naples is a beautiful place to visit. There are several reasons why Naples is one of the best honeymoon cities in Florida. The first reason is that it has a nice beach. You can get away from the city and into the ocean, which is fun for many people. Another reason why this makes such an excellent honeymoon spot is because many restaurants in town serve great food. Some even have outdoor seating where you can sit while eating! If you’re not feeling like going out to eat, then there are plenty of places within walking distance where you can get some delicious takeout food or snacks without having to leave your hotel room (or apartment).
If your significant other likes adventure then I recommend going on one of those boat tours around Naples Bay where they’ll show how beautiful it looks from above ground level instead 🙂 Last but certainly not least: kids love this place too!
