Riviera Beach is located in the southeastern portion of the state of Florida. It is across the bridge and the causeway to the beach. At first, you may be put off by the mainland as it may appear more run down, but as you approach the actual beach areas, it becomes much nicer, with many condos. Hopefully, this article will give you a start for places to visit at Riviera Beach. Visiting Riviera Beach you can find multiple things to do, but we will highlight these three:
1. Municipal Beach
2. Rapids Waterpark
3. Manatee Lagoon
Municipal Beach
Aiken Adventures visited Municipal Beach, one of the several beaches along Riviera Beach. It stretches just from the Breakers Hotel and Resort to just south of Worth Avenue. Parking was crowded but is also available in lots across the street. There is also a shopping center across the street, where you can find something to eat, shops, and even a post office. On the beach, there is volleyball and wide open beach areas, sometimes so wide open that it takes a while to reach the water. On the beach, the water has a gentle slope and the water is shallow near the edges. You can sit by the promenade or walk along the beach looking for seashells. The best time to look for seashells is after high tide.
Rapids Waterpark
Riviera Beach also boasts the famous Rapids Waterpark, where you can splash to your heart’s content. It occupies 30 acres near I95. It has 42 slides and attractions, twin seven-story slides, a wave pool, a quarter-mile lazy river, and slides for children and toddlers. The park’s website divides the rides into three categories: biggest, coolest, and wettest. Pick which one suits you best or try them all! There are several places to shop and dine as well. Some rides and attractions have height or weight restrictions, be sure to check it out! They offer group rates, church and boy scout groups special rates, birthday parties, and corporate events, even an option for the park buyout for the day. There are payment plans for season tickets. Also, there are cabanas for rental.

Manatee Lagoon
Manatee Lagoon is an FPL Eco–Discovery Center. They are open Tuesday thru Sunday, 9 am to 4 pm April 1- November 14, and open daily from November 15-March 30. You can watch from one of two observation decks or learn from the educational building, visit the 3D augmented reality solar exhibit, or the lush tropical grounds with views of the Lake Worth Lagoon. During cooler weather, manatees are known to congregate here at the FPL Riviera Beach Next Generation Clean Energy Center. The likelihood of seeing a manatee increases during the manatee season, beginning November 15. Parking and admission are free. They have adult yoga, Manateefest, lectures, tours, and an EV Showcase. School and group accommodations are available. They offer venue rentals and family-friendly programs.
Conclusion
Whatever you decide to do on your visit to Riviera Beach, you will find lots of variety, too much to mention here. Educational learning, shops, places to stay, places to play, and places to eat. Whatever you decide to do, don’t forget your sunscreen! Enjoy your trip to Riviera Beach!
