Busch Wildlife Sanctuary
When it comes to the best things to do in Jupiter, Florida, you can’t go wrong with Busch Wildlife Sanctuary. The sanctuary has been serving as a nature preserve and educational center since 1993. The sanctuary offers guided tours of its trails through the many acres of gardens and native plants of their property. On these tours you will learn about how they are working to conserve the natural ecosystem while providing habitats for animals like alligators, turtles and snakes. You may even have the opportunity to see and hold some of these animals, which your children will love! Busch Wildlife Sanctuary is a non-profit organization, so entrance to the attraction is available for a donation of any size.
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum
The Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse and Museum is a beautiful place to walk around a take some photos – especially at sunset! The lighthouse itself is over 100 years old and has been designated a historic landmark by the U.S. Department of Interior. The museum features a variety of exhibits on local Jupiter history.
Dubois Park
Dubois Park is the place to go to enjoy the beach (something you should absolutely do in this area). If you’re looking for something a little extra, you will be pleased to also find a playground, picnic area, and fishing pier. This is the ideal place to spend the day with your family and make lots of memories!
Harbourside Place
After you spend the day at the beach, you may be looking for a place to shop, dine and take in the sights of Jupiter. Harbourside Place is the perfect choice! This ritzy area will offer multiple fine-dining options, and if you’re feeling really fancy, some great areas for yacht-watching. We mostly just walked around and enjoyed the views.

Riverwalk The Loxahatchee River Center
The Riverwalk The Loxahatchee River Center is a nature center and wildlife refuge located on the Loxahatchee River in Jupiter. It is well known for its exhibits and guided tours. The center features an exhibit area that highlights native animals and plants found in the area as well as a library/learning center for visitors to learn more about the local wildlife.
Riverwalk also offers self-guided tours along a one mile boardwalk through mangrove wetlands, cypress swamps, pinelands and hardwood hammocks. Visitors can see how various species adapt to their habitat by viewing animal tracks, nests and dens in this natural setting preserved by conservation.
Sawfish Bay Park
Sawfish Bay Park is a great place to spend an afternoon. The park houses several picnic pavilions, and has a small beach area where you can swim! If you’re lucky enough to get there during the right time of year (usually after November), you might even see manatees swimming around in the bay!
